2019 Free agency Thread

We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Can I say neither?

Ramsey freelanced in Zone Coverage and hurt his team tremendously because he was asshurt that Gilmore said mean things about him. He's super talented but that's just ****ing ridiculous.

Clark has felony second degree home invasion and domestic violence on his record. After Peters, Hunt, and Hill I've had quite enough of these types of shenanigans.

I found this statement particularly odd...YOU'VE had enough? Enough of what...reading tabloid trash reporting on people's personal lives that 15 years ago...nobody gave a flying shit about.

Make no mistake...the ONLY reason the NFL has become so active in what players do in their personal lives is corporate sponsorship. Their "social responsibly" is a sham, based on profit..they dont give a shit unless they can turn a dime on it.

It's a farce...and dangerous. It's become a social programming tool...not really surprising after finding out that the DOD paid them for their fake patriotism before games.

I miss the days of just watching football and not giving a shit about a tweet some WR made...or expecting more from a football player than just making plays on Sunday.

First, thanks for the hot take. Second, it's neither dangerous nor surprising that people who own companies take measures to protect the value of those assets. For many owners I'd imagine, that decision is completely mutually exclusive to any societal responsibility.

Had enough of players of the Chiefs doing stupid ****ing shit and getting suspended or released over it. Did you REALLY need that explained to you? Sorry dude, it's not "15 years ago", you can't be a cancerous presence in the locker room challenging elderly coaches to fights, or go around getting into drunken scuffles and lying about it, or punch and choke your pregnant girlfriend then turn around and get yourself into a custody battle because you apparently can't restrain yourself from breaking your kids arm.

Do I personally give a shit about any of that? Not really, except that business with Hill and his girlfriend was pretty ****ed. But it's really ****ing tiring when it gets these dumbasses thrown off the team or suspended. Rather just not deal with it anymore as a fan.

Well, if the Chiefs aren't willing to put up with the bullshit when something inevitably happens, then yeah.

When it comes to Peters, there’s clearly a lesson to be learned.

But nobody could have saw what was coming with Hunt. There were no legitimate character concerns when we drafted him.

As for Hill, even if something comes out of this and he’s suspended, cut, or not extended after this year, we still got tremendous value for a 5th round pick.
