Hasbro confirms 4 more Transformer movies

Transformers 5, 6, 7, & 8 Confirmed By Hasbro
Jay Jayson- 10/03/20152 comments

A Hasbro executive was the keynote speaker at the MIP Junior Conference 2015 (via TFW2005) and during the Q&A session he revealed that the Transformers writers room came up with enough material that he can confidently confirm four more Transformers sequels are on the way.

"You're going to see a new Transformers movie coming from Hasbro and Paramount and Michael Bay and our other partners," Stephen J. Davis, President of Hasbro Studios and Entertainment and Licensing for Hasbro, told the audience at MIPJunior 2015. "In fact, we just finished -- as some of you may have read -- an incredible experience. We decided we wanted to plot out the next 10 years of the Transformers franchise, so we got together in a 3 month period of time...nine of some of the most creative writers I have ever worked with -- shepherded by Akiva Goldsman, who many of you may know won an Academy Award for A Beautiful Mind, and written a bunch of great movies. And they plotted out the next ten years of Transformers. Similarly we are doing the same in television and digital. So stay tuned Transformers 5 is on its way. ...And 6 and 7 and 8."

The Transformers writers room included Steve DeKnight (Daredevil), Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Hibernation), Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand), Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Lindsey Beer (How To Nail An Alien) and Christina Hodson (Unforgettable).

Transformers 5 will be directed by Michael Bay (The Rock), based on a script written by Akiva Goldsman. Mark Wahlberg (Ted) will reprise his Cade Yeager role from Age of Extinction for a second adventure with the Robots in Disguise.

I figured they might do one more since the last one had Optimus leaving to face the creators or whatever they called them. I thought they'd reboot it after that. Haven't been exited about one of these movies in years. I bet it was at least a year after release that I saw the last couple that came out.

It's funny,

These films just take the cash in, yet no one loves them.

It's bastardizing the franchise. You tell me what you think of when someone says the following phrase.

"Remember when Witwicky and Bumblebee saved Prime from xyz?"

Is it that little weirdo Lebouff and Megan Fox riding in a camero or do you think of the cartoon Wit with his kid Spike ****ing shit up in a VW Bug?
