Bungie Destiny

Didnt see this posted anywhere.

Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, February 17.

by Lucas M. Thomas
February 12, 2013

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

Thanks. I thought I had to do it while patrolling earth or the moon.

Suros saved my ass big time. Dealing damage has a chance to heal and it did it pretty frequently. I was also usually the one with the most kills (on Crota phase), which I found odd since I usually a hand cannon man.

They can't steal your kills by the way, at least on the 3-kill bounty. You just have to be nearby when it dies to get credit. As was mentioned earlier, for the 15 kills with the actual sword, just load up the first dlc mission, run past everything into the building and then kill the 3 acolytes and Blade around the corner. After you pick up the sword there's around 20 hive in the next room, so it's pretty easy to finish and with no competition.

Did you guys get past Crota last night? We gave up after about an hour. I think we need to try the bubble strat where you put a bubble up in the Boomer tower to contain them. Frees people up to focus on cleaning up the ads.

Nope, we kept getting close but things would always fall apart at the Ogres. We tried putting the boomers in a bubble and one of the was able to shoot over it somehow. We liked standing on the ledge in-front of the middle window. It negated the boomers for the most part. We would kill one and try to keep the other one looking at us while our sword guy did his thing. That wizard was a pain in the ass.

I thought the wizard only spawned if you killed both Boomers?

That's what we saw too. It's why we switched to keeping a boomer alive. It seems like both boomers would always die just as we got the sword. The wizard bitch would block our shots on Crota and then skill our sword carrier. This probably only applies to people playing from the left though. Switching to the window ledge changed things.

They did steal my kill. I was about to finish him off then they finished him and got the sword. I didn't get credit at all.

I'll be doing the single player mission to finish this off.

Basically if you get a single hit on a major from any range you'll get glimmer for it, regardless of who actually kills it. And if you're close enough you'll get glimmer whether you tag it or not. Same is true for blades of crota in my experience. And I've done that bounty a LOT. Like enough that I'm rank 4 on one character and between 2 and 3 on two others.

(It caps at 4 which was a bit of a relief)

'Course I could be mistaken and have racked up a ton of stolen kills but I don't think so. I think as often as not someone else gets the kb. Not something I even worry about tbh.

In any case the single player mission is easier because you aren't at the mercy of the spawn timer.

Final beat Crota on hard. We got him down twice. It just took a lot of practice apparently.

We stuck with the middle window ledge but started going to the left boomer basement for ogres. It gives us a better angle on the 2nd one. Have a ton of titans also helps because we were popping bubbles with blessing of light all over the place.

I got the scout riffle and just need the hand cannon now.

We gave up again yesterday after two hours. Our strat was from the left side. Two titans would throw up bubbles in the left tower to blind the Boomers while the rest of the guys took down the Swordbearer and Crota. We (Titans) would run back to the Crystal room to pick up orbs and ensure the Boomers were contained. It usually fell apart for us when we would circle back to the left side to take out the last Ogre. Crota was doing some weird shit too where he was standing up after only two sword hits and killing our Swordbearer.

There's a lot of moving parts on the left side.

We got glitched a lot too. The quick stand up and disappearing sword was most common. A lot of dumb deaths as well.
