I went back to iOS 7.1.2. iOS8 sucks on the 4s.

I think it's more like the 4S sucks for iOS 8. I'm having the same issues with my iPad Mini. It's no bueno.

Yeah, the iPad mini has a slightly newer processor, I think. The only time I notice the performance hit is on Safari. But I switched to Chrome and it's way better.
