Also another one of Moores moves.
Remember when we traded Jonathan Sanchez for Jeremy Guthrie. I wonder who won that trade |

Mariners win. A's don't clinch anything tonight. A's have to lose out and Seattle has to win out for there to be a tiebreaker though.

Royals baseball... clap clap, clap clap... Royals baseball.
What a wonderful evening, fellow Royals fanatics. The road has been a long and arduous one, but we have arrived at the destination at last. To the ship!

The Royals have been my team since 1970. I listened to Buddy Blattner everyday & kept my scoring sheet with me. I recalculated batting avg's after every at bat. I enjoyed the talents of Amos Otis, Cookie Rojas, Big John Mayberry, Freddie Patek, Paul Schaal, Ed Kirkpatrick, Paul Splittorff, Dick Drago, Bob Lemon, etc...they were pretty good right from the beginning but they were in a division with the Twins(Killebrew, Carew, Oliva, Blyleven, etc...) & the A's(Jackson, Campaneris, Bando, Rudi, Catfish, Blue, etc...). I remember as a 12 yr old wondering they would ever beat the A's. It was during a time where the Royals games(20-30 per season) were on 41 & the rabbit ears just weren't strong enough sometimes out in Oak Grove to get a real clear picture. I watched Busby's no no in Detroit & Milwaukee and dreamed of playoffs. A long came Hal McRae in a trade(hated it at the time) which Cedric Tallis always seemed to get the best of(Patek, Kirkpatrick & Del Canton as an example). But when George Brett started listening to Charlie Lau along with McRae it was pure magic for 10+ years. I never thought we wouldn't be in the pkayoffs. The Royals are in my blood. I don't know how a 30 yr old or younger could taken the crap we've watched over the years & still be a fan. I had no choice but to be one.
