Mahomes named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. [not this week]

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...rs-of-the-week

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. The second-year pro dazzled in the Chiefs' 38-28 win over the Los Angeles Chargers with 256 yards passing and four touchdowns, adding 21 yards rushing on four carries.

He's about due for a 4 INT game, the kind of game I just don't ever see Mahomes having.
Tom Brady had 3 int against Chiefs year after winning his first Super Bowl so it's inevitable for Patrick to have at least one day of throwing multiple picks but i'm sure he can overcome those with 5 td in same game.

Brady has thrown 3 or more picks a few times in his career but in all of those instances he was throwing the ball more than 45 times a game. One of them he threw like 60.

If I were a betting man, I wouldn't count on Mahomes throwing more than even 30 times per game very many times. My guess is he averages somewhere around 27-28.

4 in 2005.

He threw 3 of them to Greg Wesley.

In 2002, the year after his first Superbowl, Brady threw for 410 yards and 4 TD's against the Chiefs.

That's impressive in itself and hasn't utilized the run game much but his passes are effective with authority and precision where as he lets the play makers make plays. I don't think it's out of the realm for him to throw 60 td this season with as few as 10 int or less even.

That's crazy ****ing shit but it could happen.

Am I missing something, or is Mahomes the frontrunner heading into MNF? Most of the huge offensive games came from the NFC. The only threats I can think of are Mayfield, Josh Allen, and Albert Wilson, but none of them really have the stats to match Mahomes. If a Steeler doesn't have a huge game, I think he might have a threepeat.

Albert Wilson will probably get it.
He had a 50+ yard TD pass and a 50+ yard TD reception. Those types of stats just don't grown on trees.

In comparison, Mahomes had a rather pedestrian performance. Ho hum, 3 touchdowns and 300+ yards.....
