See I knew I was missing something. I'll have to watch that again. Now that makes sense because he says she lives a very scheduled life, arriving at 10am every Thursday or whatever the hell it was. So he was there before she got there and he knows where she always sits and he planted the ricin packet (i guess snipping a corner of it dumping it in there and her not noticing it) at her table.
The director made it very clear it was the only packet. I'm not sure what else you wanted.

Again... Jesse killing Todd, that felt like raw, sincere redemption. Walt conveniently patching every loose end up and dying with everything tidy and neat, it just didn't do it for me. No real conflict in today's episode. He cleaned up a lot of messes in a short episode, which feels too James Bond for me.

Hit the nail on the head. He definitely lucked out on a few occasions, and Jesse getting his 'shot' with Todd who conveniently survived the machine gun fire was kind of bleh. But the beginning of this episode where he sets up his former partners at Grey Matter is vintage Breaking Bad. The rest of it felt rushed and I really would have liked a 2 hour send-off instead of the usual 55 min. run.

Well, considering the AB broke into Skylers house and threatened to kill her and the baby if she spoke of Lydia, I think he may have thought he had a reason.

I can sympathize with what you are saying, but its still a great show and I'm not going to criticize Gilligan for going with the ending that is going to please most of the show's fans.

One of my favorite scenes from the show was the end of crawl space when the camera pans up with him laughing hysterically in thr basement. It gave me chills at the time. Loved they ended it that way.

Also, loved the scene with Elliot and Gretchen.

Totally satisfied.

I'll admit it was covenient for Uncle Jack and Todd to be the only ones hanging on. However, theres always been shit you can pick a part. It didnt really feel rushed to me, but I'd be all for the 2 hour finale.

Literally said "OH SHIT" when the laser dots popped up.

I knew he was bullshitting about there being hitmen though. They stole the laser pointer idea from 30 minutes or less

Lithium is not used in a P2P cook and methamphetamine's final chemical structure has none of it.

If Walt was making shake and bake meth with a Gatorade bottle then the Li may have some relevance.

Which is why I find it offputting for Walt to go on a full episode of redemption, without being triggered by some kind of major event. Jesse killing Todd... THAT was redemption. Walt going on a killing spree is basically tying up loose ends for the shit that he created. Gilligan had a chance to allow Walt to redeem himself while still giving him something to emotionally stew on. But he didn't. It came off to me as fairly insincere attempt at redeeming a character. It was a fun episode to watch, but way too vanilla given some of the amazing stuff Breaking Bad has given us.
What makes you think he didn't stew on something? That's why he saved Jesse. He had plenty of time to stew on things when he said goodbye to his daughter and watched his son from a distance for the last time.

It may not have been a major event to you, but impugning his input to Gray Matter is the single largest event behind why he would return in the first place--it's the entire reason why the show even exists. Everything Walt did was about building the name and legacy he forsook by selling his share for $5k, and when the two co-founders pissed on him on national television, what else would you expect that character to do?
