*** Official Coffee Snobs and S#%^*+ talk thread ***

Lately I have found myself drinking espresso in a variety of ways. Steamed milk mix being the preferred method.

What is your coffee blend / drink / brand and why is it superior to all others you snob

If you like the free office sqwualler out of the community pot there is nothing wrong with that either

What you got?

I only buy 100% Colombian coffee (medium roast) because it's very consistent across brands. Never, ever bitter.

I drink my coffee black w/o other BS added. I always shop coffee sales because 100% Colombian is always part of the mix that also include "breakfast blend," "donut shop," "morning wakeup," "xyz roast" or other crap.

I only drink coffee 2-3 times a week so it has to be decent to be worth it. I used to buy beans from a local roaster but that is a pain in the butt for how much I drink so now I buy Tully's House Blend. It's a medium roast, which is what I tend to like.

Despite being from Washington, I can't stand Starbucks' coffee. Tully's is the Seattle coffee brand that should have exploded out into the world, not Starbucks.

When I was at Cabelas, for a short time they had Seattles Best coffee. It was far better than the other crap they had before but it was pretty strong and bitter. A pack of sugar and it was a decent pick me up on those shorty afternoons.

From Washington? Do you remember when Starbuck's was selling Kona Coffee (very expensive) and it wasn't? They were sold beans from a crooked supplier that weren't Kona. The exquisite palates of the coffee gods at Starbucks couldn't tell the difference. They were decent, but much cheaper beans. Yay Starbuck's! We know coffee!

Throw a pinch or two of salt into coffee that brews bitter. It makes it less bitter and saves you from throwing a bunch of money in the trash.

Seattle's Best most definitely isn't. It's cheap swill that plays off the Seattle = coffee rep.

I don't. I only started drinking coffee maybe ten years ago.

Oh I know. It's not good. But it was heavy with caffeine and worlds better than the farmer brothers or whatever they were using before and after.
