2015 Offseason Assessment

I don't start posts very often but a few things are obvious after watching football today.

The chiefs offseason needs start off with a bruising running back to compliment Charles/Davis. You watch Beast Mode and then Blount and at the end of the season it shows this is a need.

Secondly we all know we need WR's. I think you take 2 in the top few rounds. Bring Avant back and hope that we see more from Albert Wilson. Lastly on the WR discussion... Give Bowe a choice drastic pay cut or move to trade/release him.

Offensive Line... Fix this either thru draft or snag something through free agency. This will prove to have the largest impact but I don't want to see us sell the farm to fix it.

Lastly Defense... The need with be Middle/Inside LB's x2, (Hopefully DJ can come back and help but I still see a need for 2, help for Poe up front and lastly a Safety. Losing Berry was a major blow and we will need to add someone to back fill that missing piece.

I may be one of the few but I think that if you fix the OL, Add WR weapons, and a bruising back our offense is where it needs to be and yes this is with Alex Smith.

Lastly with multiple adds on Defense we will be franchise tagging Houston and most lilkey asking Hali to take a pay cut. I hate to see Hali go but am in hopes that Dee Ford can miraculously showing up in 2015. Regardless this is up to our management. Find a way to make this all work out.

Regardless as I see things play out today I remain hopefully for 2015. I think we will see the champs from both sides having one thing in common and that is a loss in the loudest stadium "Arrowhead"!!!!

After watching these two playoff games today, I'm going to go ahead and propose that water is wet.

Your thoughts here have been echoed by many, and I pretty well agree with them all. Not as sure that KC needs a bruising back.. Sherman and Knile can add good punch.. but I wouldn't object to a bruising back in the late rds.

Add talent at LG and RT... re-sign the C.. add quality at WR and ILB. This should go a long way in getting KC back in the playoffs.

Unconventional, but these might just work.

You really see RB as a priority position?

Davis is 230, a legit 4.4 or better and may not have hit his ceiling yet... I'm plenty comfortable with our one two punch in the backfield.

I am starting to worry more about Charles and see that we may need a later round long term replacement for Charles or to look at Kniles as the small one and bring in a bruiser.

JC should have two great years left before he begins a noticeable decline, good backs are easier to find these days than they've ever been... atleast as far as offense, I'd rather focus on your other points of fixing this line and receiver corp.

The defense was fine without Berry. It looks as if the defense will be okay for the next few years but we do need a guy to give Poe some breathers.

I would trade Charles if we could get a 1st and 3rd in a heartbeat. Use draft picks on WR and OLine. If a good QB prospect is available at any point in the draft we need to pull the trigger.

Hali and Bowe need to say goodbye unless they take a paycut.

I have no solution for Alex.
