To the point of the thread:
Best experience was watching the original Terminator in a theater with Walter Day on the south side of Chicago. People were screaming at the screen from the first frame. Bonus: This was the first and only time I ever went to a theater that showed cartoons before the feature. Worst experience was going to see Robocop 2 - we were 5 minutes late and the usher sent us to the theater where it was 90 minutes in, instead if the one that was 5 minutes in. After like 20 minutes the movie was over and we were all like WTF... |

Best for me was seeing Nosferatu and Metropolis with a live orchestra. What an experience.

One time I saw Hollow Man in the theater with a date. There was one other couple in the theater. At some point I notice the girl wasn't around for quite some time. I felt bad for the guy and thought she may have ditched him, until I got up to go to the bathroom and noticed she was enthusiastically giving him head.
Black people get a bad reputation for talking during the movies, but one demographic that doesn't know when to shut the **** up it's elderly people. My favorite time to go to the movies is in the middle of the day, on a weekday or Sunday afternoons. You'd think those would be ideal conditions for an enjoyable movie going experience but I always get a couple of fossils who find seats behind me and talk through the whole ****ing movie. Damn near ruined it for me when I saw Nebraska!

I spent 6 weeks working on an archeology dig at the old walls of Jericho in what is now Palestine. Very fasinating and tedious work. Learned a lot, met some cool people.

Shoot any scimitar swingers, 'cause that's what I was looking for.
