Yes because being a scared of success chiefs fan era is about over. There’s still plenty of question marks with smith. His playoff record is ass, He folds like a cheap lawn chair in the playoffs. Unless he changes his past playoff history. Nothing changes |

If we continue to see this PED-enhanced (without the shrunken testicles) version of Smith for the remainder of the season, he will be hyped and I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get a first in a trade.
When we traded a couple 2nd's for him, he was coming off a season (2012) where he threw for 13 TD's, 5 INT's and 1737 yards in 10 games. Dude already has 15 TD's, 0 INT's and 1979 yards in 7 games this year...showing signs of being one of these QB's who progresses after the age of 33...which as a thread a couple weeks ago brought to light, is not by any means unheard of. |

God it'd be nice if we got a high pick for him. We are going to need every high pick we can get to ensure that we are making things as favorable as possible for Mahomes and his development as a young QB.

Really depends on how AS finishes the season as to whether we get a 1 or 2 or just a mid-rdr.
He must totally ball out and at least get us to the AFC championship game and that ain't happening with our horrid defense IMHO to get a potential first rd pick. At this point we will be lucky to win one game in the playoffs let alone make the playoffs if things continue they way they are because of our horrid "trench play on both sides of the ball and our 2ndary play. You can see AS is starting to get happy feet again and not trusting. He will have happy feet against Denver I assure you. Steelers exposed us and gave the blueprint on how to beat us pure and simple and we still don't have an answer for it. Play zone and punch us in the mouth. We have yet to punch back but it better be soon and that is if we can "punch in the mouth" in the trenches. Not trying to be negative but I don't think we have the talent to punch back in the trenches. |

He'll be getting a 3 year extension. He isn't going anywhere. But if we did trade him he's worthy of at very least a first round pick.

I really don't think the 17 mill will be that big of a detriment...maybe others can chime in...hes worth 15 minimum right?

Brady makes 14.4 Mil for base salary the next two years. Smith is definently worth 15 mil minimum. 17 actually seems like a steal considering what QBs are getting paid now days

He's slotted to be the 14th highest paid QB next season which is not bad at all. Might be 16th after the Marriotta and Winston new deals.
