Bray sucked at UT. I don't know why people expected a miracle in the NFL.

He didn't get meaningful snaps or legitimate play time.

Brays value is
He is still extremely young for a QB. Is younger than Murray Has a big arm. You cut him teams will be lining up to stash him. He could literally sit until he's 27 and be groomed. His value is his youth. You cant say he's a "failed experiment at 23" but how many QBs in the NFL were good at 23. I can name like 5. He has time on his side that's for sure. This is no way in me saying keep him. But in every way saying he's not a failure yet. |

Possibly. He was not known for being cerebral.

Right now I don't think Chase's salary is keeping KC from signing or extending anyone else, so I don't see the big deal in whether he is making 3, 4 or 5 mil a year. He's a competent backup who has the chance to go .500 if Smith were to go down for a few games.
IMO, people don't like him because of the type of player he is - smaller, weak arm, not a gun slinger. But, he fits Reid's current system. If there is an outlier - it is Bray who is a non-mobile high risk/high reward passer.
