They were DBs but those dudes were ass. In fact, I'm not even sure they were real people. I feel like I remember them but I'm not entirely sure. They're not worth the brain space. |

True, but I thought Cottam could've become a good player, but injuries cut his career short.

At this point, I think Dan Quinn gets the Falcons' coaching job. They must be waiting for a reason. They have an offense, mostly, but need a defense, and Quinn can help with that.

Yet people credit Herm Edwards when one could chalk his entire 2008 draft up to 'there were so many good players a blind squirrel would have hit on half of those picks."

I found Chiefs Planet by googling 'I hate Scott Pioli'. There's no point to that, other than...I hate Scott Pioli. Quote:
This is why the Chiefs will never win a Super Bowl with Chunt running the show. It starts at the top...and as far as 'the top' is concerned, asses are back in the seats and they have 'righted the ship.' When in reality, they're one serious injury at the QB position to being a 5 win team (or worse). There is no depth, no long term answer. And they don't care. They're all making $$$$$.

Where's the "depth" in Atlanta, New Orleans or Dallas? How about Chicago, Green Bay, Detroit or Minnesota? San Francisco or Seattle? We all know about the "depth" in Arizona because they went through three QB's. Despite the fact that the league changed the rules in 2004 in order to make QB's "Matinee Idols", with hopes of every teams having a "Franchise QB", it hasn't happened. The best arm talent is going into MLB, where there's less chance of long-term injuries such as concussions and bodily harm. Plus, unlike the NFL, there's guaranteed contracts in MLB. This is a long term problem for the NFL because "Franchise QB's" don't grow on trees and can't be fabricated out of thin air due to rule changes. |

I also think the kid needs to self scout himself to stop giving the defense keys because he gets swallowed up in the backfield way too much. If it weren't for the amount of times he gets hit in the backfield, dud would average over 5 per rush IMO. He always has big play potential due to his size speed combo. |

Reading about Pioli and Dimitroff always makes me laugh. Reminds me of that piece of trash book - The Patriot Way - The Road to A Modern NFL Dynasty.
Ha, ha. That book kissed the arses of everyone in the Patriots tree. They had a great draft tidbit where Belichick and Pioli were trying to talk Dimitroff out of giving up picks for Jones. The others argued you can get just as good of a WR later in the first round - Baldwin!! Yeah, that worked out great.
