Tanoh and Tamba consistently brought pressure when they were in there. Zombo is good at run defense but he doesn't get pressure. I saw Tamba collapse the pocket on two plays and one led to Houston's sack. They must be saving him for the playoffs or something.

Houston rushed the passer More than ever yesterday and was ineffective without pressure coming from the right side. He really disappoints me.

Good thing about yesterday was there was at least a rotation going on,which seemed to keep guys fresh and active.

Houston has either been playing contain, dropped back in coverage or is double teamed. Not having another pass rusher hurts his game and you're seeing the same thing happen to Von Miller and Khalil Mack.

No way to know for sure what the defensive play call was, but it looks like Houston had contain on his side while DJ (I think that's DJ) had contain on the other side to let Tonah loose to rush. Looked like the primary game plan objective was to contain/spy Tyrod.

Not as often, no.

But there are plays throughout the game where he looks as dynamic as he ever has. The problem is that there's nothing coming from anywhere else so the QB just takes a little step up or sideways and he's clean.

Not everyone can be as generous as Smith and roll into pass rushers as often as he does. Most QBs are smart enough to neutralize a single guy getting through the line.

When I brought that up to Paylor on Twitter, concerning Jones' health he didn't answer because of his progress last season which I mentioned. Chris should be on equal level to Bosa as an emerging elite talent.
