Now if they go off and lose 10 in a row... maybe. But we've been playing well for a month and a half now. It's not time to panic because we lost two games on the road to the hottest team in the universe. This series has sucked hard, no doubt... but I'm surprised at how Royal fans have kind of gone into a frenzy over it.

We have a 10 game home stand out of the break against Texas, Detroit and Chicago. Just get through tomorrow and pick things back up after the break.

True. Go 7-3 on that homestand and everything is right again.

I think part of it is that going in to the series it felt like to win it we had to win these two and to not get swept we had to win one of them before tomorrow. Also, we have been playing well, and these two games we have not played well, and losing in that manner is often the most frustrating, especially when you have a chance to beat a good team in their place to really make a statement.

Then of course people seem to think being a few games back in the division is some horrible thing at this point in the season.

Part of the 'frenzy' I'd say is that we were 1/2 game back for a minute...kind of a bummer to go into the AS break on a possible sweep and a few games back in 3rd place after that little high of almost getting to 1st
There are 76 games to go. I can almost guarantee you there will be winning streaks and losing streaks over that stretch. 3 games back is nothing. Just keep trying to win series, and more importantly play well against the Twins and Indians for once. Our goal when we were 10-20 was just try to get back to .500 and within striking distance, and they did that. And hopefully there will be help on the way to plug a couple of these holes that we have.

It's not. If you had said on May 1st that we would be 4 games out of first(the most likely scenario)and either in the 2nd WC spot or a game out of it at the break, everybody would have signed up for that immediately. The bummer is, since April still counts, we have been swimming up stream all season to this point. Now we will be 3 or 4(or I guess 2, but very slim odds of a KC win AND a Cle loss)out and while we may not have the hardest remaining July schedule, the Indians schedule would make an SEC non conference football schedule maker blush. They play absolutely no one until 7/31. So basically, we can't afford many if any missteps. A 5/6 game losing streak, normally not a huge deal, likely has us 7 or 8 out. Insurmountable? No. But we can't keeping relying on "Royals Devil Magic" to defy odds. That's why I'm looking at the WC race. If we wake up 8/1(when the Indians schedule gets much tougher)3/4 games out of first, then I think the division is in play.

Well that was a disappointing ending to an otherwise exciting game. Note to self: next time research which side of Dodgers Stadium is in shade after 4pm.

My 6-year-old nephew freaking gets on the Jumbotron and gets a ball given to him his first ever baseball game. Helps to be a cute kid!

My 3rd time at Dodger Stadium - much better experience than the first two. They've really cleaned up the place - much less stabby. Maybe winning helps. Also sitting in the lower level. But even the bleachers looked a lot better than when I sat there like 12 years ago.

I do not have good luck going to games or even watching Royals games with my family. Fortunately for the Royals we have plans tomorrow and won't even be near a television.

Don't sit in the Bleachers when the Giants are in town. Other than that you're cool.

It was a Giants game 12 years ago or so. Big mistake to sit in the bleachers with a 10-year-old.

Today in order to keep from totally pissing away the sweep in Seattle, we now have to go out and play a day game, in a heat advisory, in Smoggy LA, and only have to beat the best pitcher in baseball, on his turf.

I like our chances.

So Royals....

Nice way to finish the half

That was a sad game of missed opportunities with Soria being Soria to end any hope.

At least Soria threw strikes. That pitch to Bellinger didn't look that bad on the replay.

That was the only HR Soria has given up this year. And it was opposite field. Cain looking at strike three with the bases loaded really hurt.
