Anyone selling an SUV?

I'd rather buy from a CPer who I know won't rip me off.

If its bad enough your FWD cant get you around on paved roads, you probabaly shouldnt be out at all.

I drove a FWD Toyota Celica in Montana and Eastern Washington winters for 8 years. Only the last few years did I actually get snow tires. I usually just ran a high end all-season Michelin and did just fine. And I'm talking 200 mile trips to and from school for winter breaks and holidays is some horrible blizzards on some of the worst roads in the lower 48.

You drive smart and have good tires and you can manage a FWD car in all conditions. Now the girlfriend's Mustang at the time was just reeruned. You couldn't pay me to risk my life in one of those in a winter.

That isn't true. Period.
Semantics.

You might not be able to blaze through snow piles, but yes, you can still get around quite easily in the snow with FWD.

I drive my FWD 97 civic in all weather, and i have to drive 25 miles to work, through a county that has no money to clean roads.

Will try in the Focus this year too, but will need to switch tires. I have summer only POSes on it.

Yea it's very doable. I never went off the road once but had plenty of friends in trucks and SUVs that did. Drive smart and have good tires.

It's nice because my old Celica fits in nicely in Phoenix as I never have to worry about any of this anymore!

My 2002 Toyota Camry is a excellent car in the snow. Stopping ,starting climbing the pack-ice hill to my house. Its a beast with good tires. My k-5 blazer & Bronco both failed the pack-ice hill in front of my house.

I can see it.. 02 or 03 outback with decent lowish miles. Possible.
