I grew up on McClard's. Been there many times. Acutally a place called "Smokin' With Style" on Albert Pike by Lake Hamilton is better BBQ, but McClard's is like the Hot Springs version of Arthur Bryant's. Been there forever, etc. They also sell hot tamales that are decent.

Fort Smith has some pretty good street art these days, though I'm not sure you'll go through downtown. Crystal Bridges and all kinds of cool shit in NWA, but it doesn't sound like that's part of the agenda.
