Can we win a Super Bowl with Alex Smith?

Not in 2015, necessarily. Just a general question, really.

I know there is a definite line drawn in the sand on this subject here and I want to know if there is a general consensus one way or the other. I'm kinda on the fence about it...but I'm leaning towards no.

If we get the OL to block as a top ten unit. The receivers grow into a top ten unit and the backs and tight ends are also top ten...paired with the defense being similar to last year (maybe a hair better) is Alex Smith a guy that can help the team win it all?

Of course, this would mean we would get a break here and there in the postseason.

This will be the final straw. After the failure of Alex in KC the fanbase will never trust a retread ever again.

Some Chiefs fans are just a little slow.

if you garner playoff experience and wins, you might get lucky

if you get bounced in round one ..well

If we don't agree with you two miserable haters then we're all stupid?? Really?? It's been poi ted out that worse quarterbacks have done it. Hell. Troy Aikman won 3 Superbowls on the back of Emmott Smith and a great defense and oline. Not to mention that Michael Irvin could catch anything on his side of the field. If that mediocre QB can do it 3 times, Alex can do it.

There's slow, and there's stupid.

Guess which one you are?

The answer is: yes, it is theoretically possible...but as Milkman pointed out the stars would have to align pretty unimaginably and as His Majesty , SIr Claynus pointed out the window is closing fast.

Needing the stars to align + having a short window = not very good odds

Well if your God Clay had his way we would be rolling with Geno Smith. Sometimes your god is just a false idol.

No, we would have already moved on and be looking for the right QB.

Instead we are hoping that the wrong QB can be the right QB and wasting time.

You can call me stupid all you want. You don't even know me but I've seen enough of your idiocy on this board to pretty much guarantee that your intelligence is way lower than mine. But if you calling me stupid makes you feel better about yourself then enjoy yourself. Your name calling is meaningless to me.
