What else is he supposed to say? He did the right thing and said the conservative thing. This is what made Andy fall in love with Smith since he entered the league, his humility and taking nothing for granted.

Andy of all people wants Smith to play his best year cause he knows we are knocking right on the door of the Lombardi.

Both Maclin and Smith are playing on a contract year, they have a mutual interest in this. Tyreek will do his thing. Kelce will be Kelce.

IF this were true then we would have spent our draft picks on other than quarterback position to replace Alex Smith.

If Andy Reid and Dorsey really believed this was our year we wouldn't have traded up 17 spots to draft a Quarterback with the 10th pick in the FIRST round of the draft.

Youre missing the point. Alex is saying/ doing everything that needs to be done to be a starting QB next season. If he had said the arrogant thing, you all would be criticizing him too. It's a political move by him and his agent, don't think too much of it or you may be seriously disappointed.

If they told him they're moving on they essentially forfeit the season as he would then have zero ****s and would cash in his checks and just sit back. Common sense.

The time it takes is factored in on how well Patrick Mahomes II learns the playbook & with Alex Smith struggling with the offense that time table is easy a year if not sooner. It takes time yes. Alex Smith had his time and his time is up. He knows it and said so himself.
