****Official Golf Thread****

The original Bushwood thread is overflowing like Craig Stadler's FUPA.

Use this thread to discuss tournaments, swing thoughts, equipment, and golf deals.

I thought we could also use the OP to create a WITB for ChiefsPlanet members. I'll list a poster's name and put their sticks in a spoiler tag, so you can see what everyone is carrying.

I ended up playing Eagle Knoll last week. Not a bad track at all. Shot an 85, which I was actually pleased with considering that it's early in the season, I'd never seen the course before, and the wind was blowing 25-30 all day.

I haven't been down there since they "eased up" on the course several years ago. It used to be a really tough course. They lost their greens a few years back. I see their slope is still 141, so it's certainly no picnic. I'd be very pleased with an early season score like that on that course w/ those winds.

We've played about 9 times already this year... Also set up a full optishot aim in the shop with big screen and projector. Have played probably 10-13 rounds on it this year already.

Heading to Florida and Georgia tomorrow. Have 4 RDS scheduled already next week.

Got out with the younger son on Tuesday for 18 holes at a cheap price. We got to do the front 9 twice because the back 9 were being aerated and sanded. It was awesome.

Sent from my phone using Tapatalk (so spelling be damned!!!)

Is that the heart shaped green at Teetering Rocks?

I got one round in about a month ago. Shot 47/51 which I was pretty pleased with for my first time out. Putting on the back 9 was horrible or could have been better.

Just got invited for a round at Grand Summit tomorrow.

That is.. We love that hole, and it teaches you a lot about physics, ball trajectory, and roll. When I play there with friends they think they need to play that hole two clubs low, and you can't explain to the that their is no roll when you play off "a cliff", so go with your 160 club go fro the green. All ya gotta "think about" is wind.

Now, I rarely hit the green, but I'm usually pin-far (pin-high seems like an overstatement in my case!!), and they're hitting a provisional.

And yeah, I love that course. It's the right price for me and my skill level. I 'm more into hockey (because of the son nowadays), so golf is what we do to unwind and just talk. Buy 50-cent balls on Amazon and losing a few seems to matter little, and you can tell the water hazards to go **** themselves all the easier.

I used to play that course a lot back in the day. Ended up finishing out the last few weeks of a golf league with a buddy last year and was surprised how much had changed.

It's kind of new to us, but we can see where changes have been made. All I know is I get time with the son(s), and that's awesome.

Well, those greens have rebounded nicely. The greens were in excellent shape, especially considering the time of season. Rolled very true, and were actually quick.

Dunno if anyone is watching, but Jon Rahm making a good comeback on dj on the back 9. Birdied 16 to trim a 5 down lead to 1 down with 2 to go.
