Reporter quits on air

Quick hits:

She's a reporter in Alaska.

She ran a story about the Alaska Cannabis club and it's battle for Prop 2, a measure that would legalize and tax the production and use of marijuana in Alaska.

She then revealed that she is the secret owner of the Cannabis club and quits.

The burgeoning of a new industry?

Would you take a job as proprietor of a licensed weed store in CO right now?

I'm sure as head of a legalization effort, she's poised herself to profit of inevitable legalization.

If not, she truly is stupid to put all this effort into making a shit ton of money for other people.

Even then, there's a living to be made making the media rounds as a 'cultural hero,' going on podcasts and radio, appearing at festivals to recount her legalization stories.

How many of them are watching the news in Alaska of all places? They're so depressed from only seeing the sun for an hour a day and dealing with severe sleep deficits.
Now she's reached her targets though... Dumbass facebookers with nothing better to do but forward this shit and give it a thumbs up.

I personally don't give a shit if an adult wants to smoke weed at home. Legalize the **** out of it and tax it like a mother. We'd be better off. However, this isn't the way to do it.
I'm wondering if she will deal with any type of fallout. Can the FCC fine her for this? Can the station sue her?
We in Colorado are still trying to figure out if legalizing "the **** out of it" works in the long run, but we've already found out that taxing it "like a mother" doesn't. Legal weed still has to compete with black market weed for the consumer's dollar.

haha. no.

I have been looking into opening a dispensary in KC. If she has the leg up on others in the area, and got publicity from this. She will be rolling in the money.
As long as they do not make it where it is sold everywhere like cigarettes, you just won a golden ticket if you get to it first.

Lets not pretend an entry level news reporter is some great job. They make next to nothing.

Not the case in Alaska. They make 2500 more than someone in Washington state.
