It takes time to develop a d-lineman into an OLB in a 3/4 (always sub packaged) defense. He's still learning his craft.

Patience, Planeteers. Patience.

I didn't even know he was still on the active squad.

Of course, it doesn't help that he has Britt Reid as his coach. If it wasn't for Chris Jones, i'm not sure that even a Coach's son would still have a job. Britt The-Armpit Reid has better be giving half his salary to Chris Jones and the other half to Andy.

Thank goodness that Allen Bailey showed up a little this year.

That’s the thing though. He’s not even getting on the field to learn. Even if he is still learning, it’s a poor use of resources. Drafting a raw talent like Tanoh and making him learn a new position is not good business.

We only get him cheap for 4 years. Half of that has been wasted. Just can’t do that.

Gotta maximize the high picks And cheap labor.

Except there's no evidence he's learning anything. He's not even playing. It's one thing to devote time to progress. It's another to sit there and watch nothing happen.

I have to admit, I'm usually the last guy to give up on a player.

On the other hand, let's see how he does in TC next year and then we'll give him the ol' heave-ho.

It took time for Tamba. It took time for Fiddy. It took a hell of a long time for Ford.

If I'm going to gripe about Veachy, I'm pointing to our inside linebacker group and our safeties to start. Kpassaneggnogg is further down my list.

Again, Dee Ford appeared in 14 games and started 5 in his 2nd season, recording 4 sacks. Justin Houston started 10 games his rookie year with 5.5 sacks and recorded 10 sacks in his second season.

Tamba Hali started 32 games his first 2 seasons and recorded 15.5 sacks and 7 forced fumbles.

Tanoh was a completely wasted draft pick. Breeland Speaks has contributed more, let that sink in for a minute.

If you are a 2nd round pick and have not done anything at all for 2 years, you are a bust. Dude is a bust, bad pick. We drafted Breeland Speaks this year too, same position pretty much so the coaches know they ****ed up. It happens.

Tanoh has been in the NFL for 27 games, has 18 career tackles, 2 sacks (both from last year). There has been 11 games this year and the guy has 4 tackles, and none since October of this year. Unfortunately the kid is a total waste of a pick.

All I get is a minute? Damn, hoss. What's the rush?

Let's see here ... in 2006 we were something like 9 and 7 and we followed that up with our magical 4 and 12 campaign. Jared Allen was on those teams. Tamba himself (and in his own words) mentioned how helpful that was as he was transitioning.

Fiddy came in and had Tamba in his prime working the other side. Tamba Hali driving QBs right into Fiddy's lane. Plus, I don't think he was a d-lineman making a transition. He came in as a rush linebacker.

Context, my friend. Context and patience ... and more than a minute, if you please.

If Dorsey was here i bet there would still be a push to develop Tanoh. He was still a big reach in the 2nd round though.

Tanoh is built to be strong 4-3 DE and was best with his hand in the dirt. It gave him leverage with those long limbs coming out of that stance. I never understood trying to convert a 6'7" 290 lb guy to an OLB and I never will. I don't understand doing it with Speaks either at 6'3" 285 lbs. Just another reason I'd love to see this team switch schemes. Quit ****ing wasting talent.

So ****ing tired of the Chiefs drafting projects in the 2nd and 3rd rds.

rds 1-3 you should be drafting starters or major role players.
