Chiefs Hopefully Andy Reid quits tomorrow - Page 4

Can't stand how he calls a game. Love the team and I'm sure I'll be back for another year of self-flagellation next season, but Andy Reid is a moron who's coaching style will beat inferior teams all day long but will never win the big game (which is why he's lost in the playoffs so many times).

His reputation for poor clock-management is real. His reputation for not relying on his best players is real. I'm sure there are plenty of coaches that are worst than him, but he's never ever ever going to get the Chiefs to the Super Bowl (let alone win it). If that's the goal then he needs to go.

Reid didn't lose this game...bad ref calls, no run defense and ball drops did it.

Everyone satisfied with this game tonight -- enjoy! Because you should expect the same thing to happen next year if Reid is the coach. There is actually evidence to support this expectation as opposed to the opposite.

But not here to convince anyone of anything.

That is managemet's job not OP's. Just because he can't name better coaches off the top of his head doesn't mean they aren't out there.

Already said if you measure success in the regular season then by all means keep the guy.

If you want to win in the playoffs, go to the Super Bowl, or forbid me, win the Super Bowl, then you need a different guy. Also, as I said elsewhere, if Reid would bring on a real OC this team would explode -- unless you think his offensive genius is somehow not happening on the field because of someone else?

He says its his fault during the end of the game that timeouts are called and the tempo isn't faster. He said that after New England last year. He said that after Indianapolis four years ago. When does it actually become his responsibility?

Really don't understand the logic behind not holding the guy responsible for the offense responsible for the offense?

And yes, successful regular seasons are a measure of success. And yes Andy has to get better in the playoffs but yes, getting where we are now from where we were in just 4 years is amazing and a success.

Fair enough.

I just don't have the confidence, based on his four year history, that much is going to change going forward.

Mike Tomlin has won more playoff games this season than Andy during his entire tenure with the Chiefs. And if you go back 8 seasons Andy is 1-7 in his last 8 post season games.

For me that's just not good enough.
