Oklahoma Joe's is very good.

But when I think "KC barbeque" I think burnt ends and pork ribs. I don't think beef brisket or pulled pork, the things that I believe OK Joe's does best.

That's why I think OK Joes is overrated for "KC Barbeque." I'd go to Gates, Bryants, LC's and Jack Stack any day of the week over OK Joes.

I think OK Joe's has wonderful ribs. Haven't tried the burnt ends though. They never have them when I'm there. Gates is super overrated IMO. I also believe LC's is super underrated.

In fact I think their ribs are probably their best thing

I think they only serve burnt ends on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
You have to get them before they run out.
They are pretty expensive but extremely good.

I don't get Gates though.
It is "meh". It is not on the same level as OK Joe's, Arthur Bryants, Jack Stack, etc...

Overall, Gates is just decent. But their burnt ends are great.

It's all about what you were raised on. Kind of like people who swear by Pepsi or Coke. To each, his own. They're all good.

No restaurants listed in Louisiana (New Orleans) or New Mexico (Santa Fe). Was Georgia on there anywhere? No good places to eat in Atlanta, huh?

And the "West Texas BBQ" place is in California???

That's not a very well researched list, that's for sure.

Jasper's here in KC was voted one of the top Italian restaurants in the USA too.

Too many places in Hawaii listed.
