You got that right. We're a league-wide joke. I was watching Inside the NFL and they were showing the Chiefs / Chargers highlights and the Charger players were mocking Cassel as he was on the sidelines before the last drive and saying, "Hey Cassel, we need a turnover." The rest is history...

My guess, Leno nor the writers follow football that close. Or the knew about it, but just wanted to stick to making the audience laugh, which they did.
