Thats very illegal. He did his usual push off BS and the DB had to hold on or lose his balance and possibly give up a big play. WR is supposed to run his route clean without initiating contact downfield. He was well past the spot where contact is allowed.

How many times is OPI called in a typical game? Once if any? Fans want that call all the time, so why isn't it called?

Because that's not how they call it. Receivers hand fight and get their arms in defenders faces constantly. That's not illegal.

The only time they're going to call OPI is if they literally shove the guy and his momentum is substantially changed because of it.

If your interpretation here was correct, they'd call OPI 10-15 times per game.

And that is a farce. Rules favor the offense enough. Both players were hand-fighting all through the route. Good officials see that and let it go. One-sided? Then yeah make a call. The fact there was 0% chance of a completion because of Watson’s inaccuracy means you move on to the next play. Don’t ****ing penalize a defensive team for bad execution on the offense’s part.
