Hey guys! I was thinking about how fortunate I am and thought maybe I could put a bug in the ear of someone to cheer them up and see a new path.

I got out of the Army back in 2010 and was awarded with a 60 percent disability rating. My terrible marriage came to an end, I had used the GI bill to graduate from college and started looking around for work. Wow, did that just about make me want spend the afternoon drinking with Ray Rice...that bad.

After 6 months of deliberating I decided to take my 60 percent (which is around a thousand bucks a month) and move to a fully equipped cabin on the beach in Costa Rica. (the light blue Caribbean waters just outside my front door)

With that monthly money I was able to easily live, enjoy internet, cable, endless white sandy beaches and still have money for "extras". (Obviously no car, big screens or hot water but NO WORK either!)

Going into that adventure I thought I would be happy being single living in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen at a cut rate price. However..life took over and my heart went pitter patter over a beautiful, smart, gorgeous, amazing, beautiful, perfect Costa Rican woman.

It has been two years since I stepped on the plane and left South Dakota. My WIFE and I just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary on Sunday. (Thanks for the shitty gift fat Andy..my bride said "Why didn't they just count and see that there were twelve players? That seems pretty simple, right?" Gotta love her.)

Anywho, if you have some adventure in your bones (which you do if you signed up) roll the dice Vets. Or, if you are not a vet but have a thousand dollars a month pension or a big wad of cash, take a look around and decide if living in the US is what you really want.

Take the leap and you may be rewarded more than you could ever imagine!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I am 30, a good age for retirement.

Scott Me and a buddy bought it together. If you find Pacu , he knows both of us . Just tell him it's for Scott and Darren who bought the property. The owner of the hotel will remember me too. He also got property from them.
If I'm not mistaken the hotel owner's name is Nick.

Awesome. I can't do airline tickets, I'm not that rich. I hope you knew I was talking about the game itself, and anything included with it like food, drinks, transportation, what not. Hell, I took the tour of Arrowhead and if you're in town for a couple of days I'd like to do that again, and I'll spring for that too. I really do think I can get you a suite comped at Harrah's in my name for the weekend at no cost. We'll cross that bridge later.

Haha, I will actually be driving in from Colorado so I will have a vehicle. We may go for the whole weekend, especially if I get to tour Arrowhead. It has been one of my dreams to walk that building. Again, wow, thank you.

Haha, but I can't say much to an infantryman as I was a truck driver/vet tech in my time.

Me too! We are moving to Colorado at the end of 2015 to work for a few years to gather the funding to purchase a home instead of renting. She will be a nurse aide and myself a SPED teacher. Maybe we could make this a playoff experience if I don't get there too late.... and Andy figures out how to use the clock and that running backs get paid to RUN the ball. Here's hoping!

Oh and if anybody cares, I just watched last weeks episode of NCIS and Tony G was in it for a few minutes talking crap on Gibbs(TG's character's name was Francis I believe and he is an agent). Was kinda funny but out of place. Maybe he will have a recurring role?

That name sounds really familiar..when was he there..I had all the schools and training then went straight out on vacations so I never got to meet everybody before I had to get out

Hahaha, man, one of the highest trained Soldiers around and still humble. Restores any faith I had lost in humanity.

His name is Kellan, I think he was there in '06 and then went to Colorado. His dad was also a SF Colonel.

I was there last november. He was just finishing up his boat and mooring it out. I watched there every sunday when I was there.

As far as living there, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to make money down there. Too broke to go this winter but plan on going next winter.
