Matt Moore for one. You all could have gotten him as a FA and kept your second round pick. Then KC could have drafted a QB in the 2-3-4th rounds of this year's draft too. Then next year, with a much stronger QB class, if kc wanted to take a QB in the first round then they could do so.
This crap ain't rocket science.

Matt Moore's 6 year career with 2 different NFL teams:
448 Completions 758 Passing Attempts 59.1 Completion Percentage 5,268 Yards 33 TDs 26 INTs 80.5 Passer Rating (not bad at all) Alex Myths 8 year career with the Niners: 1290 Completions 2177 Passing Attempts 59.3 Completion Percentage 14,280 Yards 81 TDs 63 INTs 79.1 Passer Rating (worse than Moores) Matt Moore played on some bad Carolina teams and some bad Miami teams, he's nothing super fantastic but he would have gotten kc just as many wins as Alex Myth. They have almost identical passer ratings and completion percentages and Moore did it with a lot less talent.

The 9ers defense took advantage of getting to play with an Alex Smith led offense.. fairly long drives, few mistakes. Our defense had to play with Cassel and our awful offense. Remove MC and both sides of our team are vastly improved.

So wrong. That defense is really, really good. Fast, and stacked at every position. The only thing that helps the D is Andy Lee, their All-Pro punter. It most certainly was not alex smith.

Having an offense sustain long drives instead of turning the ball over does make a big difference. Shit, we have pro-bowlers on defense as well.
