LNBS: Can we trade Chase Daniel?

I honestly think we will trade him this offseason.

This draft is weak at QB IMO and lots of teams have needs at quarterback, while Chase has shown the ability to lead a team to wins (I still view the 2013 finale as a win because the refs screwed up)

Mariotta has red flags for being a system guy that hasn't had to really throw into tight windows (his receivers were always wide open) and hasn't had to run a pro style set. Others have said he is a one read guy who looks to run too fast (not sure I agree with that)

Winston showed major red flags after his last game and while he is a gamer and has a lot of experience in a pro style offense, there are concerns that his immaturity will lead to a guy with early success but might not have the drive it takes to develop all of his skills and he might really embarrass your team if you draft him and constantly have to clean up after him.

Hundley? I once saw him as a guy that might move this year into the top spot, but he didn't really impress.

It's also a weak free agent class of QBs (even with Cutler possibly hitting free agency)

Andy has a history of trading quarterbacks for picks and it would be amazing if he can get us a third for Daniel while saving us nearly 4 million in cap space while he's at it.

Honestly, the more I look into this QB class, I think it's not only possible but probable that they move Chase...I think a third is possible...or maybe a conditional pick dependent on playing time and production.

Texans
Bills
Rams
Bears
Jets
Jags
Titans
Bucs

That's a lot of QB needy teams without a lot of options out there.

I think we could have tore some teams up if we had traded for him instead of Smith.

That isn't a QB problem either.

The Titans #1 target was ****ing Delanie Walker.

I'm an idiot but you are the one saying Bowe/Avery/Avant/Hammond/Wilson, none of whom could catch a TD pass to save their lives, are somehow BETTER than the Titans WR corps?

Ummm. Yes.

A WR who caught 66% of their WR TDs had a worse year than Bowe in every single stat except TDs and you want to act like the Chiefs WRs not catching a TD pass isn't an Alex Smith issue.

The WR's have to get open in the time the QB has to throw the ball (which also translates into shitty OL play too) however if you go back and look at Bowes production over the last three years you can see a steady decline.

Bowe:
2011 - 81 rec 1,159 yds and 5 tds
2012 - 59 rec 801 yds 3 tds
2013 - 57 rec 673 yds 5 tds
2014 - 60 rec 754 yds 0 tds

Avery is a less than the Tits starting WR's

2013 - 40 rec 596 yds 2tds
2014 - 15 rec 176 yds 0tds

Compare that to the tits starting WRs

Washington:
2012 - 46 rec 746 yds 4tds
2013 - 58 rec 919 yds 3tds
2014 - 40 rec 647 yds 2tds

Wright:
2012 - 64 rec 626 yds 4tds
2013 - 94 rec 1,079 yds 2tds
2014 - 57 rec 715 yds 6tds

Plenty of gifs out there with Chiefs WRs open in the endzone and Alex is dumping it off to Charles 5 yards short of a 1st down.

The key to a WR getting a TD is the QB targeting a WR in the end zone.

Keep acting like the Chiefs not having a single WR TD isn't a QB problem.

Also plenty of GIFs out there of (pick a WR) dropping/fumbling the ball and/or not getting open

So you're telling me Jodie Meeks averaged over 50 points a game while he was at Kentucky? I mean he hung 54 on the Volunteers in Knoxville so he's clearly capable of doing that ever night

Look dumbass - it's obvious you are an attention whore - I'll break it down for you.

Alex Smith is a good QB
Our OL is garbage
our WR corps aren't even starters on a good team

How is it if Alex Smith is so bad we made the playoffs last year and almost again this year despite for our lousy WR/OL Corps?
