Fox is a solid depth move in that he could probably play either tackle position in a pinch.

Much like signing Linkenbach really, except that we don't have a sure starter in front of Linkenbach yet.

At least this moves Zach Martin down the draft board a few more spots, hopefully.

Linkenbach is total shit IMO too, though.

Don't know eneough about this guy to form an opinion, but I really hope Linkenbach doesn't make the 53.

Considering what we have at guard, I don't see any way they can leave him off.

Played RT his freshman year at Miami. LT for the rest of his career.

His rookie year he was out with a knee injury left over from his college days. The next year he had a broken foot. If he can stay healthy....he's solid depth at OT.

I agree. Now when you make stuff up that other people never said, like this for example, you're a liar as well as being someone who says stuff that is stupid as shit...

Nope. Never said that. Go read what I said. You are now expecting only HALF of what you originally said, so if you keep lowering your expectations, we'll soon agree...

The only clear and quantifiable improvement from last year would be to win a playoff game.

I think even the biggest Dorsey/Reid fans might have a hard time saying that they EXPECT that to happen.

That being said, I really don't see this team going in the tank. They're not bad enough for that to happen barring some freak accident (like Alex Smith getting hurt).

I haven't lowered anything.

I made it very clear that I knew that all things would not happen, but that some of them would. I have not lowered anything at all.

Oh, ok. I thought you were lowering expectations. We'll just have to see what happens...

I See Bowe having a Monster year. Hell, AJ Jenkins is as good as McCluster.

We are going to get Something out of either, Kelce, or Cummings. Might not be much, but I'll bet it's more that K. Lewis provided.

The whole approach seems to be trusting in the drafted players.
I think Kush is going to contribute, maybe even allowing Hudson to move to G where I think he can really help out.

Houston is going to have a MONSTER season

I believe Smith will have a career season.

I think Catapano can contribute
I think we will get some help through the draft.

I KNOW that all of these things will not work out, but I believe some of them will.

Enough to, yes, improve the team.

Basically all the new and 2nd year players will have to fall flat on their faces for us to not have any chance at improving.

If half of the possible positive things that could happen , do, we will be improved.
If Dorsey has failed on on all those picks, and fails again this season, then we will in fact have the shit season so many people are predicting.
I'm just not ready to throw in the towel on two seasons worth of drafting yet.
Again, I know a lot of this stuff won't happen, but some of it will, and when it does, along with the continued development of our existing players we will be an improved football team.

Thats really not huge or unrealistic expectations.
I just put all of these topics to a vote in a new thread.

I don't think they go in the tank, but I also don't think they're anywhere as close to ready as last year's record might otherwise indicate. It's not been at all unusual the last decade or so to see a flukey season at the start a rebuild and then a minor step back the following year, and I would not be surprised if KC were the latest team to do that.

I don't give a shit about Sutton, one way or another, but I've asked this before.

When you are limited by a crap safety, an ILB who can't cover, an OLB who, while outstanding rushing the passer, is a liability in coverage, a corner who struggles in zone, and 2 DEs who are only slightly better at rushing the passer than I am, just exactly what kind of adjustments would you have him make?

The only real indefensible decision he made was failing to utilize the bench more.
