Tell me about how you Grocery shop nowadays...

Do you shop online, and do the drive thru pickup?

Do you shop online and have your groceries delivered?

Or do you do it the old fashioned way and go into store and shop yourself?

Please tell me.....

Rethink the Montana one. Only 3 months of summer there. Plus fire season can ruin an entire year.

If this is humble brag time, I’ll participate.

I plan to summer in Hayes, Kansas and winter in Lincoln, Nebraska by the time I’m 78.

I just love that part of the country. The wife and I both love Hawaii also, but don’t think we could stand being locked on an Island year round.

This is definitely not humble brag time. It is straight up boasting time. We’ve both work d very hard and been very lucky along the way. We plan on enjoying our good fortune later in life.

By the way, it’s Hays, Kansas.

Hawaii and Montana, when you give 0 ****s about what it takes someone to come visit you. Not that there's anything wrong with that, and an ideal strategy as I hate my family, but as long as you know.

I still go in person about 6:30am. It takes me longer to drive to the store and back (about 40 miles) than it takes to shop.

For you in this thread that can’t see our economy and life’s changing soon, google A.I. and automation. 30% of existing jobs are gone within 5 years. Some will find new jobs in A.I. But there are going to a lot of jobs lost.

What do you think that’s going to do to our society? No one knows for sure but it sure ain’t going to be what it was in 2018.
This again?

Do you even instant pot?

Not yet. I've been tempted, but it's still a little pricey for the fact that it simply does all the things I can do in existing appliances in one appliance.

I think I mentioned it before, but I probably won't Instant Pot until either my pressure cooker or my rice cooker bites the dust [knock wood].

Mom has one though, and seems to love it. But then again, she has a giant pressure cooker from the 60s that she only pulls out for canning season, and a dinky rice cooker she got for like $10 at a flea market that I don't know if she's even opened. Also, her crock pot is getting long in the tooth as well [and doesn't have the removable crockery insert, it's so old]. So she's semi-retired a lot of the things I would actually be replacing in their prime.

Never dig your own well. With a spade or shovel. You will inadvertently cut a blade of grass and destroy it's life. Who are you to decide if that blade of grass deserves to live or not. You sir, are a murderer!!

On Saturdays I go into the office for a few hours and then spend the rest of the day doing tasks around the house like washing the cars, cleaning out the garage, pruning the landscaping, etc... By late Saturday afternoon I’m ready for some downtime and we usually find something fun to do (like drink at the neighbors and puke in their pool).

Anything I can do to reduce the time it takes for mundane tasks like grocery shopping, I take that opportunity. But according to you, I’m just lazy.

I’m too lazy to beat anyone up. I’d probably just hire a couple of goons to take care of that for me.
