So we're not including the six straight points to take the lead the Cavs never gave back, the 13 points he contributed in the quarter, or the defense he played to help shut down the Warriors (including probably the best block of all time given the situation) as "down the stretch."

Of course we're not.

Of course we're not.

You consider 'down the stretch' the entire quarter?

He was 0-4 the final four minutes. That's not good.

There's no need to freak out and go into defense mode KCC.

After accounting for strength of schedule, we find that Lue navigated Cleveland through one of history’s great playoff journeys. If we use pre-series Elo ratings to judge the difficulty of a team’s postseason path and weight its opponent-adjusted scoring margin by the importance of each game, the 2016 Cavaliers’ run ranks as the fifth-best by an NBA champion since 1984:
Quote:
We also have to discuss James, who shook off whatever doubt remained about his primacy in his era. James capped off the third-best individual playoff run since 1974 according to Value Over Replacement Player (VORP) and averaged the seventh-highest Game Score in an NBA Finals since 1983:
Quote:
For his NBA Finals career, James also ranks third since 1983 in average Game Score, behind Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal. And beyond the Finals, LeBron now ranks shockingly high in a variety of advanced statistical categories: He’s No. 1 in lifetime Box Plus/Minus (both for the regular-season and playoffs, although both stats extend back only to 1974) and its value-based offshoot VORP (again, both regular-season and playoffs); No. 1 in playoff career Win Shares; No. 2 — trailing only Jordan — in lifetime regular-season Player Efficiency Rating; and No. 3 (behind MJ and George Mikan) in the playoffs.

Is he going to leave Cleveland?

From my understanding, it's because the salary cap is making a huge and somewhat unexpected jump, so he'll re-sign with Cleveland to a larger contract.

He signs a two-year deal with an opt-out after year one every year.

Yeah, this happens every year with him. It's designed to give him the power to do whatever he wants to do each offseason. No reason to think he'll leave Cleveland immediately after winning a championship, though (the primary evidence for that being that he's already said he'll stay).

So Magic traded Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova, and Domantas Sabonis (#11 pick) to OKC for Serge Ibaka.

Great trade if you're OKC. Oladipo will fit right in there at the 2 spot. If you're an Orlando fan you have to be wondering what the hell they're doing.

So I'm having this discussion with some buddies and it's split right down the middle... Which roster would be better, the KD in OKC roster or KD in GSW roster?

So we're saying Durant replaces Barnes and there's a question about which roster is better? Steph, Klay, KD, Draymond and Bogut. With Iggy and Livingston off the bench? Yes please.

That GS roster would have more talent than any team in the history of the NBA.

And LeBron would still probably beat them again.
