Whether you loved him or hated him, he helped bring this team out of the toilet and his foundation is doing good work. Some fans are saying thank you by donating $11 dollars to the Alex Smith Foundation. It's not a lot of money for most people, and 95% of money given to the foundation goes directly to the kids.

I have no doubt that Alex Smith is a top shelf human being and a great member of any community in which he lives. What he has been doing with his charity is very admirable.

I wish him good luck, but I'm glad he's not the quarterback of the Chiefs anymore.

I might even kick in because I do appreciate his charity causes.

To be fair I have no ill-will towards Alex.

In fact I'd look at him as a modern day Deberg without the grit.

He's a quality guy, great person, solid teammate, and true team player.

I love the guy. I'd ask for his atuto if I saw him.
