Shoots himself and gets his Rolls Royce bloody on the way to the hospital.....I'm sure the symbolism is lost on him..
Deep thinker ...this one. The best he and his entourage of geniuses could come up with was "Umm..we were hanging out at the park @ 3:45 AM. I was so wasted, I cant remember a thing". What is he, 16? Multi-millionaire hanging out at the jungle gym...brilliant alibi. He shot himself in the fight..and their drunken asses hid at the park until they realized he was going to need medical attention. If S. Smith gets 3 games for hitting a light pole...Talib better get hammered for taking a loaded weapon to a strip club and shooting himself...then lying to police. Who still goes to places where you feel a need to pack a gun...at this stage of your career? The eye-gouge was just scratching the surface of this guy's damage. Report: Talib told others he shot himself Posted by Mike Florio on June 6, 2016, 7:38 PM EDT CLEVELAND, OH - OCTOBER 18: Cornerback Aqib Talib #21 of the Denver Broncos celebrates on the sidelines after intercepting a pass and returning for a touchdown during the second quarter against the Cleveland Browns at Cleveland Browns Stadium on October 18, 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by Andrew Weber/Getty Images) Getty Images Maybe Aqib Talib wasn’t too drunk to know who shot him, after all. Mike Klis of 9news.com in Denver reports that the Broncos cornerback has told people close to him that he accidentally shot himself. Police are still investigating the situation. It’s believed Talib was shot at a Dallas night club, where two others were shot. According to WFAA in Dallas, Talib told police he was “hanging out at a park with friends” when he was shot early Sunday. Regardless of how it happened, it happened. Klis reports that the Broncos expect Talib to miss the rest of the offseason program. As of Sunday night, the Broncos didn’t believe that Talib will be facing charges. However, former NFL receiver Plaxico Burress knows all about the consequences of shooting himself in the leg, thanks to strict laws in New York City regarding the possession of a concealed weapon. The fact that Plaxico went to prison for shooting himself possibly is a factor in Talib’s alcohol-related amnesia. It would be unfortunate if: (1) the relevant Texas laws don’t impose criminal liability upon Talib for shooting himself; and (2) telling an untrue story to the police eventually does. |

Talib has a laundry list of issues... unfortunately. Whatever the league decides to do with him, you can't really disagree with it, IMO. Some guys just can't leave their past in the past.

The only thing that pisses me off is that he plays for Denver so I know for a fact he won't be released...

The sad thing is, even if Denver did decide to try and release him, there would be another 3-4 teams lining up to sign him on an incentive-laden deal. The NFL is a mess right now. You see it clearly with this situation and then a team like the Chiefs drafting a guy like Tyreke Hill. Apparently, character doesn't matter in the modern day NFL. |

It hasn't for a long time... if you have talent. The league throws away problem players that do nothing on the field all the time. The list of incredible athletes that do really dumb things repeatedly and still play is long and no team is immune from it. If you can play, they'll look the other way as much as they can and the player gets paid.
