I expect them to push it to the limit and try to win something big.
I'd rather cut the $4 million dollar punter than Daniel or DeVito (if healthy) but I agree that they have a lot of options available.

If they let Hudson walk, they better be signing Wisniewski immediately.
Bailey sucks...couldn't even beat out a Tyson Jackson.

To respond directly to your post, Kush is not big enough to play guard. He is a center only and will be one of the most mobile centers in the league. Perfect for the screen game and every other play that requires the center to move well.

I'd seriously tamper the excitement for Revis. With Maclin there's obvious reasons why he wants to come back here, but it seems like we're outside looking in on Revis. Pretty sure he's already stated hell let the Patriots match any deal he gets from other teams.

Cutting Colquitt only saves 1.5 on this years cap.

For that, they will keep him. He is one hell of a weapon with the ability to always pin teams back and that opens up the defense to play completely differently.

I agree that he is paid too much to just punt. There are at least 4 NFL punters in this draft that will be GOOD, too.

But only saving 1.5 isn't a move they will likely do.

That's $70 million available next year Houston, Revis and Maclin won't eat up all that space combined.
For the cap to grow another 10 million, that means NFL revenues have to grow about another 21.5 million. The NFL got a huge boost this season from the 27 million increase in TV revenues, but those are only scheduled to go up about another 11.5 million per year over the next two years. So, I wouldn't say that the cap will definitely be 153 million. It should be at least 148 million though.

I'm with you. The last player on the offense line that worries me is Kush. I'm more concerned with LG, RT and of course, LT.

I think that Fisher can have a good to great year with a strong offseason regimen but I really need to see it before I go all in on him.

I predict not only a boatload of cuts but also some serious restructurings (not sure if all the ins and outs but it would seem possible to convert parts of certain salaries like Smith and -- hopefully -- Houston into signing bonuses), maybe resign Hali, Berry, and/or even Bowe to new deals for way less money, and have plenty left over for Maclin, Hudson, and even

Truth be told there are tons of places to shave off tens of millions.

A lot would have to happen but if they pull this off (or even keep Houston and Hudson and add Maclin) I'd be more than happy.

The dude is 6'4" and 315 lb. and strong like bull.

That's not big enough?

That's ****ing prototype. Plus he played LT in college. The guy should have been able to transition to LG pretty easy his second year in the system.

I repeat:

HE DID NOT BEAT OUT MCGLYNN AND LINKENBACH.

They were not keeping him in reserve as some secret weapon in case Hudson got injured. The amount of suckery that was at LG was the worst I've ever seen. Ever. If Kush had anything, he'd have been playing. He wasn't.

All of the estimates are another $10 million next year and at least that by 2017.

The agents, GM's and players are expecting it, too, which is why the announced contracts have been so huge.

Dude, Terez Paylor told me that the Chiefs see Kush as a center only. They had no intentions of putting him at the guard position, not has he ever lined up at guard in practice.

I'm not terribly concerned with RT having Stephenson returning and adding Sherrod are solid options...and Allen was respectable there before getting injured.

My major concern on the line is at LG.

It's either Tardiff or one of our first 4 picks there...

If you are able to pay the best player on your team only 4m, you don't cut him.

I said it a couple of months ago but I wouldn't be surprised if offensive line isn't a priority this offseason because of the in-house candidates. They might draft one in the first 3 rounds....but I think that's it. They did the same shit last year with WRs.
