Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

When I first started to lift in February my deadlift max was 225. Just smashed on 405 the other day. Emoji used to cover up the muffin too

No rotuine really, I workout with my bro and he has me doing all kinds of different workouts. It changes from week to week. He’s been lifting for several years. I just follow him.

Down 68 Pounds since March 25th.

Want to lose 32 more and then I hit my goal.

Feel better than I have in nearly 20 years.

Gym 4 days a week with 62 minutes on elliptical for 7.5-8.25 miles, then I lift for 30 minutes with a combo of curved barbells, dumbbells and machines, then I do some heavy ball off the trampoline to build up my grip strength with one handed catch of 20 times with each hand, then I stretch for 10-15 minutes and then I go into the sauna for 10 minutes.

I’m not on any strict diet, just making better choices. I can honestly say I haven’t had any fast food since February of this year. I’ll have a soda 1-3 a month, I never finish my wife’s plate when she’s done, usually I do and we eat out about 4 times a months. I don’t go for seconds anymore, portion control helped me tremendously. Just staying active and lifting, meal prep is a great way to lose weight too.

Great WORK! Is it true if you do cardio after lifting you burn more fat?

I hear that but I've never been able to go heavy cardio after lifting and for me, the 62 minutes of cardio first gets me jacked and when I lift, I have good strength and stamina not cold and stiff.

Like Inmem58 said, counting calories is huge and for me it was the first time in my life I did it. When you count everything you eat, it's amazing how easily you can swap out some gut buster heavy cals for something much lighter and less caloric. Things like heavy cream or coffee creamers for fat free ones, salad dressings for fat free, low cal butter or olive oil instead. Little changes can remove hundreds of daily calories.
