Why can't Tyreek be our #1 WR?
The more I'm sitting here thinking about how explosive and quick this guy is, I start questioning why can't he be our #1 WR?
Antonio Brown is probably smaller than he is. NONE of the Chiefs WRs have better hands than he does. NONE of the Chiefs WRs get more seperation. I heard that there was some report that claimed TH has the most seperation of any WR in the league. It was statistical analysis by one of those Pro football statistician sites. Why can't he be our #1? Anyone have a solid answer? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-in-separation Last edited by wutamess; 02-02-2017 at 03:04 PM.. |

What does 'lack of route ability' mean?
Because Hill is already among the most crafty route runners we have on the team. Maclin and Kelce are better than him and that's it. Hill's a shockingly good route runner. He hasn't learned the entire scheme yet so it limits their ability to use option routes with him but as far as straight up route running goes, he's going to be elite. As to the OP - he can be and he will be in short order.

Yeah I hate to take the discussion in that direction... but yep.

Don't you expect that diminished significantly as the year progressed?
Another camp and he'll be fine in that regard. I figure that happens more often than we realize and he won't have to bat 1.000 to be within the margin of acceptable error.

The person that stands to benefit the most with Tyreek on the field is Kelce as his YAC should increase with the safety concerned about giving up the deep ball |

The New England Patriots Wide Receivers:
Julian Edelman (5'10" 200lbs) 98 receptions-1106 yards-3 touchdowns James White (5'10" 205 lbs) 60 receptions-551 yards-5 touchdowns Chris Hogan (6'1" 210 lbs) 38 receptions-680 yards-4 touchdowns Malcolm Mitchell (5'11" 200 lbs) 32 receptions-401 yards-4 touchdowns Danny Amendola (5'11" 190 lbs) 23 receptions-243 yards-4 touchdowns If it works for Belicheck and the Patriots' quick passing attack, why can't it work for KC? I'd like to see another quick/shifty receiver in the lineup.

Still need to dump Maclin's sorry overpaid ass and draft/sign another WR.

The Maclin hate is way premature regarding those saying to cut him.. he wasn't his 2015 self, but factor in the injury, Kelce and Hill having bigger roles in the O, and Alex not targeting him as much and you see why the numbers dipped.
In 2015, he was the guy, and Kelce was #2. This year, Kelce exploded and Hill did too in many ways. Obviously Maclin's stats would lower, but it doesn't mean his skill did. |
