Surprise, surpise, again I don't have any problem with what Newman did to pass in the end. Current points format I'd like to see a night race at Bristol as one of the last chase races. Get Darlington in there. Maybe even Richmond. Throw Loudon, Kansas, and Chicagoland out of the chase races. I think all the races would be much more entertaining.

Jeff Gordon crying again about how a race ends up was comical.
I have a problem with the points. I have since the chase format was started. The points should be weighted....top 5 positions are 3 points each, 6-10 +2 points, outside top 10, 1pt per position. This differentiates a no win, 4 top 5's the entire season, joke of a final four participant from the rest of the field.

I'd like to go back to square-1 and have races result in 100 points, a win earn 51 points, and each lap divided-up equally and result in the remaining 49 points. That way wins are king, but leading laps ain't far behind.

Then the top 20 can have their point-difference staggered at 5-point intervals for the first 5 of the last 10 races, then the top 10 after that again rest to 5-point differences for the last 5 races.

I want winning meaning everything, and if you can't win, leading laps has to matter a lot! No hanging back, at least not for long...

With the most recent format change, Wins do mean everything...except when a few of the slots are filled by points. If they were to change anything, the non winners should have to win in the first 4 races of the chase or be eliminated based upon the fact that they have no wins. A non-winner the entire season should not be allowed to make it to the final 4. Ever. For any reason...even if it's JuneYer.

A win in the first 4 or in a case like this you allow the top points guy to the final race but he has to win the race. You also add the top race winner not in the top 4. The non winner is a wild card of sorts. If he wins the final race it is hard to argue he doesn't deserve the title. My driver caught a break as the 2, 24 and 20 cars are all superior to the 31 Imo.
In fact I would go as far as listing a handful of cars other than those who are more worthy again imo. That said in a one race shoot out he very well could win it all. It is wreck to win and some fans like that. I do not. If wrecking people to win is what you like go watch demolition derby. You can DVR the phony wrestling show to enjoy later~

I'll LOL if Newman or Lagano are put in the wall (for any reason), just to hear the hypocrites tell us how "it's different". But alas, it won't happen,.
Leaning on someone while in the corner is a classic stock car racing move. Just as much as taking the air off the spoiler. This is how NASCAR used to be raced.

That was pretty much the scoring system before the Chase came about. Rewards consistency rather than wins.

Post race Newman said "he raced him as clean as he could" "I am not proud of it" but you have pecker in hand wailing away shooting a nut proclaiming this B grade bullshit is ejaculation worthy~

Who's your favorite driver? We'll see how OK you are with it when "leaning" on him (or her) in the corner wipes the lettering off his/her tires. I'm sure you'll cry like a bitch...

And I'll say again, I'll fine with it right after NASCAR addresses it publicly (which they'll never do), or keeps their mouths shut when it starts happening around lap 3 of any race between any drivers on the track.

The bump and run has been in stock car racing since it started. Maybe you would be happier watching open wheel racing with the rest of the crybabies since it is evident you aren't a fan of making contact.

Demolition derby? Hulk Hogan? Jerry Springer? You really need to stop being an emotional idiot.

My favorite driver is no longer racing. And trust me he had his fair share bumps and bruises a long the way. And he never bitched like school girls about it though. Well, there was one time he accused Jeff Gordon and Ray Everham of cheating for a win. You probably wouldn't remember it.

Nascar already addressed aggressive driving last week. Brian France has publicly said he doesn't have a problem with the aggressive driving going on.

There is nothing emotional about it. Things are being setup to encourage wrecking to win. Not “aggressive” simply wrecking. I know you are a self-proclaimed 35 year expert. That is noted in your statements about Elliot being an over the hill driver before he was liked and guessing Dale Sr. had 6 championships. Both clueless statements. Even a casual fan knows Dale Sr. and Richard Petty are tied in that category~

You are being emotional about it. This is how stock cars are raced. Everyday, including Monday. Elliott was over the hill before he was truly liked by the fans. Ernie Irvan, Davey Allison, Alan Kulwicki, Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin and the likes came a long and pushed Bill out of stardom. 6... or 7 championships with Dale. Who cares. You have been awarded the world's smallest violin. Casual fans who have come into the mix in the last 10-15 yrs like you read how many championships a driver has. Stock car racing fans simply don't care how many championships a driver has. They know it truly is better to be lucky than good. There are so many things that can happen throughout the course of a season that can bring a team out of the points it isn't even funny. Do you really think Mark Martin and his legacy will be tarnished by him not winning a championship? Tell me, why does Dale Earnhardt have 7 championships instead of 6? Did he ever benefit ever from someone's misfortune?

Here is a good example of every move you crybabies are whining about. Ten lap shootout for the 1987 Winston.

I'm rooting for Joey Logano, I wish Kes could've made it in the final four also that would've made it more intresting.
