Sandy soil and dead trees. River or creek bottoms are always good places to look

Did some looking while turkey hunting today. Through I nice wet area along a river with several creeks and streams running through. No luck I assume I probably missed some. I hear it's hard to pick out the first one then it gets easy after that?

I always look for the color of the mushrooms. Seems to be a color that doesn't match it's surroundings. And yes, once you see 1, it seems like others will magically appear before your eyes

If they aren't using a sack with holes, such as an onion bag, then they are doing it wrong. I don't care how long they've been doing it. That's what I'm saying. Perhaps your guys are doing it right.
