Does this Chiefs team have a good chance to win the SuperBowl?

Losing Gronk is gonna hurt NEs chances.

KC already beat Denver and Oakland in their houses.

KC is getting Maclin, Nelson and Ford back...and might get Jamaal Charles back for the playoffs.

If KC takes care of business in the division and splits with ATL/Tenn, they have a real chance to get HFA. That happens, this team can beat anyone in the AFC at Arrowhead.

If they make it to the Super Bowl, they have a good chance to take down Dallas, Atlanta or Seattle.

Do you guys think this season has a good chance to end with the Lombardi trophy coming to KC?

The Chiefs have never gone 12-4. I predict it will be good luck if we do.

I vote yes. It's not because the Chiefs are so awesome...it's because nobody else is. To me, it's not unforeseeable to win a bunch of lucky ones.

The other thing I would point out from an earlier post of yours, Seimien was NOT benched, he is hurt (remember reading earlier this week that he was in a walking boot?). That is why Lynch is starting.

You are trying to push a negative slant on things but really need to look at the whole picture rather than just a few stats or incorrect information.

Just MO of course!
Well, yards are the biggest measure of a defense other than points, and we are middle of the road on points as well.

Regardless, do teams win the super bowl ranked in the 20s on most stats? Not likely. To our credit the Chiefs have been able to keep the plates spinning so far but my point is that it isn't sustainable unless something major changes.

Maybe Houston and Ford both stay healthy and the defense becomes monstrous. Maybe Alex Smith suddenly becomes better than he has been this year. Maybe Maclin comes back and stays healthy. Maybe Andy will give up play calling. Maybe we will suddenly get way better on third downs.

You have to line up a whole lot of "maybes" to see us beating PIT or NE on the road in the playoffs. It's those two and everybody else.

I think if you watch this team series by series they have not been getting better as they year has gone on. They had been getting worse and the season felt like it was tipping until Hurricane Houston hit Denver.

If we lose to Atlanta it makes Oakland a must win game on a short week. The playoff picture would start to look pretty cloudy at that point if we didn't beat Oakland.

These are all things you don't really say about a super bowl contender.

Really? REALLY?!
That is a good regular season record, but cmon, Amnorix...you of all people should recognize that regular season and playoffs are two different worlds. A team *must* perform on both sides of the ball at the most minimal level to succeed through the playoffs.

I'll take all the KO/Punt returns for TD's and wacky turnovers to help, but at some point this offense has to play at a better level in the playoffs to ultimately reach the Superbowl. Seriously...you have to know that.

They have zero chance with the offense they've fielded to this point in the season. Turnovers and defensive scores are not a reliable source of points in January. I'm not saying the offense has to do a 180. That isn't going to happen; the unit has established what it is. But they have a remote chance at advancing in the playoffs if the offense can somehow improve from awful to below average, and consistently put around 20 points on the board. That's if and only if the defense is absolutely lights out at the same time.

There's pretty much no margin for error with this team.

Yes, we absolutely have a great shot at it, provided two things...

1) no more serious injuries to our starters

2) the offense HAS to find some kind of consistency, our 3rd down % and red zone scoring cant stay like it is

WTF you talking about? Mediocre schedule? We've played some of the best teams in the AFC.

The Titans don't scare me at all. They are definitely a team on the rise but they aren't there yet. They have two wins against teams with a winning record. Mariota looks like a future star but their defense stinks. Just last week they damn near choked a away a win against Matt Barkley throwing to bunch of nobodies.

Just found out that the game tying TD to Hill was tipped, yet he still caught it...AFTER he was in the EZ..Harris for the TPC?..Santos kick?
