Romo completed 70% of his passes... like 10 in a row at some point including a couple of big gainers to Dez.

And still, under 10 YPC and just 16 points. Vertical passing league.

College gets away with bubble screens and checkdowns because there is a broken coverage every 8 passes or so. This is the NFL

It's funny how the bar is being raised for Smith. First, it was he's Cassel 2.0, now it's he sucks because isn't a top 10 QB in the league.

No doubt SF and GB with Rodgers and Kaep, respectively, have a much better chance of winning the SB than the Chiefs, but exactly, WTF were we supposed to do? Draft Geno Smith 1.1?

I agree. Said that since I have been here. you know, me, the alex smith ball washer. Who has said that he would be here to groom the qbotf?

I agree with you.

Still doesn't change the fact that he is going to win games while he is here. But hes a safe reliable option, he isn't a sexy one. but at least he wont lose you games.

How does one go about getting a QB like Rodgers or Kaepernick? Does it begin with taking a chance on a kid coming out of college?

No.

I still believe he is below average, and roughly in the same stratosphere as Cassel.

I am for damn sure positive the end result is the same: tears.

I know that 14 points is a lot of points, though.

Keyword being College and not the 49ers recycling bin.

Funny you mention these two QB. You said a few posts back that Smith would keep us drafting in the 15-20 range. Rodgers was drafted 20th, and Kaep in the 2nd round.

Im fine with no Geno Smith for now. Bray is nice, and drafting a first round QB would be lovely as well. Let Alex Smith do his thing, say thank you, and let him be on his way.

I mentioned those QB's because those are the 2 QBs that were mentioned in the post I was responding to.

Remind me though... When did the Chiefs last draft a QB in that range?

How are we defining "down the field"?

Yeah, it sucks we don't have Brees, Rodgers, or Kaep. But that's ****ing life. Get over it. They weren't available.

The Chiefs had the FIRST PICK IN THE DRAFT LAST YEAR, WON TWO GAMES ALL OF LAST YEAR.

And you can only BEAT who is on your schedule. The same dallas team, that went toe to toe with the Giants last week, and won.

Sugar coat it all you want. What they are doing, no one expected them to do.

Sure, beat the jags, but DALLAS?

No.....Check the predict the SCHEDULE THREAD.

You really think the past two games are enough evidence to wipe out 8 years of mediocre play? Do I even have to point out a two game stretch of any number of mediocre QBs that have played for the Chiefs in the past 4 decades?

This place is full reerun when it comes to picking sides on stuff.
