Chiefs believed to be interested in revis

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/1...is-free-agents

What do you think? Kind of strange if true due to his age and cost. it will be interesting to see if they actually sign him. I doubt they do, But a signing like that to me, would indicate that they believe the team isn't far off from a SB run.

If we are going to go after a big name defensive player, get into the bidding war for Ndamokon Suh.

What OL could successfully block a front 7 of

Suh
Poe
Bailey

Houston
DJ
Draft pick
Ford/Hali

That signing would make this defense historically dangerous.

**** no he's gonna cost a shit ton. The franchise tag for him is 26 mil. Imagine how much a long term contract will cost.

The tag for defensive ends is about 14 million.

I'd have no problem giving him a 5 year, 75 million dollar contract.

To make that room, cut Bowe (post June 1st designation to save 9.5 million)..cut Fasano (2 million), Daniel (I think we can get a pick for him and trading or cutting him saves 3.8 million) Avery (3.5 million) , Mays (3 million), Devito (4 million)

That's almost 26 million in cap space.

Look at the contracts year by year. Bowe isn't getting massive money until next season on.
Same for Avery. Fasano and Daniel got one year of an inflated price, which really isn't that much honestly.

Dorsey can clear a TON of cap space with these guys this offseason.

$17.6 million for Mays, Avery, Daniel, Fasano, Jenkins and DeVito being cut. And that's not counting reworking or cutting Bowe and Tamba.

Dorsey can get $30 million dollars easy if he wants to.

If we were in the mode of spending big for veterans we wouldn't have dumped salary last year.

Revis is a game changer, but KC really needs to fix that offense.

Revis took a huge paycut bc he wants to win a SB and the Pats were his best chance.

Not even counting giving Hali a new deal that saves an additional 8-9 million

If his demeanor and play were worth it...He'd still be a JET or he'd still be a Buc....or the Pats would lock him up.

Sorry, this money could be used in SEVERAL other places more than corner.
