Manziel involved in hit-and-run accident; also fired by his agent
Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was a passenger in a hit-and-run accident under investigation by Los Angeles police, USA TODAY Sports confirmed on Wednesday.

There were no injuries and no other vehicle involved in the wreck that occurred on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles Police spokesperson Officer Liliana Preciado told USA TODAY Sports. Manziel’s friend Ryan Silverstein was the driver of the vehicle that struck a light pole, Preciado said.

Preciado said Manziel wasn’t interviewed and the investigation was ongoing.

Another agent dropped former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel as a client on Wednesday.

"I have terminated the standard representation with Johnny Manziel in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs," agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN.

Rosenhaus added that if Manziel “takes the immediate steps I have outlined for him” that he would continue to represent the troubled former Heisman Trophy winner.

“Otherwise the termination will become permanent,” Rosenhaus continued. “There is a five-day window for me to rescind the termination. I'm hoping he takes the necessary steps to get his life back on track."

Agent Erik Burkhardt dropped Manziel in February as Dallas police investigated allegations that the former Heisman Trophy winner hit his ex-girlfriend. Police eventually asked the Dallas County District Attorney's Office to present a misdemeanor domestic violence case to a grand jury.

No charges were filed as of Wednesday.

The Browns released Manziel in March, and he remains a free agent.
