However, acetaminophen carries a warning against taking it while drinking more than three alcoholic drinks a day. This is because excessive alcohol consumption damages the liver, and acetaminophen may not be safe for those whose livers are impaired. Acetaminophen Toxicity Acetaminophen has an excellent safety profile when administered in proper therapeutic doses, but hepatotoxicity can occur with misuse and overdose. In the United States, acetaminophen toxicity has replaced viral hepatitis as the most common cause of acute hepatic failure and is the second most common cause of liver failure requiring transplantation. In January 2014, the FDA issued a statement that combination prescription pain relievers that contain more than 325 mg of acetaminophen per tablet, capsule, or other dosage unit should no longer be prescribed because of a risk of liver damage. Cases of severe liver injury have been reported in patients who took more than the prescribed dose of an acetaminophen-containing product in a 24-hour period, took two or more acetaminophen-containing products simultaneously, or combined alcohol with acetaminophen products.[1, 2] http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/820200-overview |

Drinking lots of alcohol leads to very rapid dehydration, and your body is going to steal water from the organs to keep going, including from your brain. Thats where the hangover comes in. Drink a shitton of water, and your body will have all the water it needs to process and flush out that alcohol. If you really go on an insane alcohol binge, you might not be able to drink enough water to avoid a hangover entirely, but you can at least make it less painful. Vitamin pills and "hangover cures" (which all advise you to drink lots of water in the instructions. Gee, I wonder why) are all mostly just snake oil.

I read the story just fine. Especially the important sections from the article which you omitted, before and after the part you quoted:

Fish- You are wrong. When getting resources for a medical issue you should use actual medical resources.

Stay hydrated and avoid too much sugar.
In the old days the monks would drink a glass of water with each pint of Ale. That's why I drink Bud Light. It has the water and beer in the same can! |

I also don't like the strong tastes of double IPA's. If I am going to drink for taste I like wine. Like everyone else who has chimed in, staying hydrated is the key. |

It's been a LONG time. Kids don't understand "daddy is hungover". However, when I did drink to excess, I tried not to sleep until I could salivate. That and tons of water.
