2019 Free agency Thread

We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Offer #29 and the 2020 SF 2nd round pick. That is essentially a mid-first rounder in terms of value.

I agree. I highly doubt they would lower the set cost for an elite defender.

What about Solomon Thomas? He’s NFC so there’s no conflicts lol

Solomon Wilcots anyone??

I think they would adjust if say the Detroit Lions called. Because it's the Chiefs, they have a lot of reasons to demand a stupid offer or just keep him.

They aren't a rebuilding squad that's cash strapped, so no reason to dump him at all costs.

Clowney is twice the player Ford is honestly he’d be a ****ing massive pickup

I’d be perfectly fine giving up a 1st+ tbh. He’s a difference maker.

If they’re not going to extend him then he shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

I’d be fine with a 2020 first.

So clowney is better than Ford because he's a slightly worse pass rusher but he's a better run defender right? We kind of had another guy just like that and we cut him so why would we trade picks for clowney

Which is why I’d love to trade for him after this years draft is over.

One year typically dilutes a picks value by 1 round. I’d imagine 2 years would dilute the pick even further.

Clowney/KPass
Jones/draft

whoa there... no way i'm trading 20 and 21 1sts for anyone. That's crazy talk. You're going to need that cheap talent.

But then you're still missing out on first year talent two years in a row.

Two firsts with fifth year options vs clowney?

you're talking crazy
