Yeah, but a Seattle vs. Oakland play-in might use both Lester AND Felix, hence making it a moot point. I'd love to see that.

Yeah but then there was the Dyson/Gore miracle that has never happened and will never happen again in 1000 years of pro baseball.

This Jeter thing is making me sick. He's not even in my lineup of best players at their positions of all time if I'm putting one together. It's not like he's MJ for crying out loud. You don't have farewell tours for guys like Jeter I'm sorry. It's just weird.

Quintana, one of the best LH in baseball, falls to 0-6 vs KC. Weird. We are 6-1 at Comiskey (oops! Cellular field) in 2014

NO MICKEY MOUSE OPERATION

There was quite a scene in the visiting clubhouse before the game. Royals RHP Liam Hendricks was on all fours while leading the charge to capture a mouse hiding in one corner. He eventually trapped it in a box and took it to the bullpen for the game, with the players dubbing it the "Rally Mouse."

Hendricks hopes to find the same mouse -- or another one -- before Saturday's game and keep it in the bullpen.

"Whatever works, man," manager Ned Yost said.

Wow. I had no idea you were that young. You are about my Son's age. You come across a lot more savvy than your age. And with that, I'm officially old

Yeah, whenever you go down that rabbit hole of remembering games that got away, no one seems to think of those flukey miracle wins or situations when Ned made a bad decision that improbably worked and led directly to a win, where making the right decision probably would have led to a loss.

Those wins are all just in the bag and taken for granted, we only focus on the losses that should have been wins added to the total.

Or that the Tigers or A's or Mariners can point to 6-8 games of their own that they let get away.
