Drive by shooting in Brookside

Jesus. Now even the nice neighborhoods are getting shot up.

This town needs an enema!

http://www.kansascity.com/news/local...180768716.html

Quote:
A man in his late 30s was sitting on his front porch in Brookside on Wednesday morning when he was shot to death, Kansas City police said.

Just after 8 a.m. police were summoned to the 200 block of West 66th Terrace, which is just east of Brookside and Wornall roads, on a shooting.

“It appears that our victim was sitting on his front porch of his residence when he was shot. The victim’s spouse heard something and came out and discovered her spouse on the ground,” said police spokeswoman Sgt. Kari Thompson.

Investigators are searching the area but have very limited suspect information. The shooting is not believed to have been random.

Police said they were looking for a white 1997 Chevrolet van with Missouri license 6FA 453. Anyone who sees the van is asked to call 911. Police warned people not to approach the van if they see it.

Police are speaking with the victim’s spouse to determine what happened. A car was heard speeding away immediately after the shooting. Investigators are also trying to determine if the victim had just walked his children to school prior to the shooting.

Police are canvassing the neighborhood.

“We’re hoping to get to the bottom of this and solve this case as we hope to solve every case,” Thompson said. “We need help. We can’t solve this alone.”

The death one of three homicides reported in Kansas City in the past 24 hours.

If he didn't want to take the risk that some asshole might murder him and leave his children fatherless, perhaps he should have chosen a career path that didn't involve ****ing people over for money.

There are plenty of opportunities in the legal field that don't involve destroying someone's life unjustly.

Alleged piece of shit.

Get it right or Pikert's Law partner will sue your ass off and not be happy til you prove you can't get money out of a turnip.

It will be interesting if there is an appeal to the case if anyone wants to act as the appellee and retry this case.

I bet you that as much of a hard ass Pengerman is about people ****ing with his shit, he would probably write a check to the Pickert's widow just not to have to give it to Harris.

You do know the Burglary and assault trial begins on Nov 27th and he can get 5 years so unless there is kink that appears, like killed Pikert, he will get probation from Barton CO

Say what...both these two greasers got karma payback.

If the gun happy guy made a simple decision of NOT shooting someone and calling the police...his life continues as normal. He goes on to shoot two more people a month later...seems like that particular scenario gravitates to him. "Karma" gave him a second chance and he still failed...enter random lawyer who, somehow, gets a 2 year old case passed down to him...sees loopholes and takes said man to the cleaners.

He had a choice to not exploit a 2 year old case...but saw the $$$ in it. The guy he is milking obviously likes shooting people...

Shooterboy is too ****ing dim to read the tea leaves...and decides this random greedy-ass lawyer needs to die for the actual shit he did to himself repeatedly...

So greedy lawyer is dead...and shooterboy is headed to prison...$5 million paid out.

Perfect ending...reap what you sow. Sad for the kids...but his greed invited that scenario to happen.

Both had choices and it directed the outcome....everything you encounter is a reaction to previous events.

If karma is a thing like I'm reading in this thread, all the people posting that the attorney deserved to die because of karma probably have a healthy dose heading their way as well. I'd watch out for white vans.
