Drive by shooting in Brookside
Jesus. Now even the nice neighborhoods are getting shot up.

A man in his late 30s was sitting on his front porch in Brookside on Wednesday morning when he was shot to death, Kansas City police said.

Just after 8 a.m. police were summoned to the 200 block of West 66th Terrace, which is just east of Brookside and Wornall roads, on a shooting.

“It appears that our victim was sitting on his front porch of his residence when he was shot. The victim’s spouse heard something and came out and discovered her spouse on the ground,” said police spokeswoman Sgt. Kari Thompson.

Investigators are searching the area but have very limited suspect information. The shooting is not believed to have been random.

Police said they were looking for a white 1997 Chevrolet van with Missouri license 6FA 453. Anyone who sees the van is asked to call 911. Police warned people not to approach the van if they see it.

Police are speaking with the victim’s spouse to determine what happened. A car was heard speeding away immediately after the shooting. Investigators are also trying to determine if the victim had just walked his children to school prior to the shooting.

Police are canvassing the neighborhood.

“We’re hoping to get to the bottom of this and solve this case as we hope to solve every case,” Thompson said. “We need help. We can’t solve this alone.”

The death one of three homicides reported in Kansas City in the past 24 hours.

I am hoping to track down the jurors for book deal.

This is going to get more interesting as time goes by as the PoPo didn't hold Jungerman so he must have an air tight story as to his whereabouts during the time in question. I am sure the van used would allow him to be held if he was even considered to have any ties to the crime.

I bet they find a dependent friend or trusted employee (maybe someone vested in the business) took it upon themselves and committed the retaliatory murder. Someone who had access to the van which was conveniently found in Raytown. I bet the police know who this person is and are looking for him.They are not going to say anything until they arrest someone.

This should go down in the books with Bob the butcher, Berdella, Grissom, Debra Green, Gilyard, and Edwin Hall who abducted and killed Kelsey Smith. and the other stranger than shit murders that make KC so interesting.

He had a choice to not exploit a 2 year old case...but saw the $$$ in it. The guy he is milking obviously likes shooting people... You don't know shit, Pickert was hired/ partnered up with another attorney who "OWNS" THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SETTLEMENT. Pickert was nothing more than a hired gun going after someone with deep pockets. Because that's what slimeball, think Saul Goodman, personal injury lawyers do.

Shooterboy is too ****ing dim to read the tea leaves...and decides this random greedy-ass lawyer needs to die for the actual shit he did to himself repeatedly...


So greedy lawyer is dead...and shooterboy is headed to prison...$5 million paid out.

Perfect ending...reap what you sow. Sad for the kids...but his greed invited that scenario to happen.

Both had choices and it directed the outcome....everything you encounter is a reaction to previous events.

Now that the attorney's wife, who's husband was murdered, has come forward and wants to tell his story, i feel it is OK to post her picture. I did not post her name but will say she didn't take on her husbands sir name. She is an internist at KU Med with a background in geriatric and hospice care if I understand her previous specialties.

Sandra K Jungerman lives in Independence. ( SE of the old Stephenson's restaurant.

He does have both sons and daughters and the daughter has used his business address in the past.

Another slimeball who broke into Jungerman's business, and was shot, has filed suit on the 20th. Justin Baker has hired JARRETT JOHNSON, a local traffic, criminal, personal injury atty.

Will he follow through after Pickert's murder?
