Using the data from your link, Australian Mcdonald's should be charging around $5.75 for a Big Mac

TAXES ! The average McDonalds store profits the owner around 150k per year when all is said and done. You do understand that McDonalds doesn't own any stores correct? It costs millions of dollars to get a McDonalds up and running. So the owner should make under 100K a year after investing millions? Also, who makes a career working at McDonalds?

So now they pay more and charge less because of taxes???

And 80% are owned by Franchisee's so your a bit off when you say McDonald's doesn't own any stores.

Between the possibility of artificially raising wages higher than they should and the inevitable automation of just about every job, what will the unemployment rate be in two decades? 25%? 50%?

Do I look like Crocodile Dundee? Do some research on relative sales, consumption and income tax rates between the two and find out for yourself if it's causing you this much agita.

Actually Australia is HUGE cattle country. Top Gear drove several hundred miles across a single ranch this season.

3.2 million acres.

They have more that 175 times the ranching land in all of Europe.

It was some dude who looked to be in his late 20s, so I don't know the history at all, but I thought it was actually pretty cool that he was taking it that seriously.
Many people today don't believe in starting at the bottom and working their way up.

Many believe they have a degree and have already earned the job they want.

Most of the time that's not the way the world works...
