Broncos sign Mathis

@AdamSchefter: Broncos and former Eagles G Evan Mathis agreed to a one-year deal, per league source.

This deal kind of supports the argument that I and some others made. An aging vet who missed significant time doesnt get better thats why he only signed for 1 year.

Christ, how many ****ing red cards do we have to give this guy before he gets temp banned? I just gave him another infraction on the post where he freely admits the trollery.

I thought infractions were a way of CP members doing a little self-policing until the mods could come by and clean up the mess?

Fair enough. He's already pretty good, and doesn't need to get better.

#59 on PFF's list for 2014...

59. Evan Mathis, LG, Philadelphia Eagles (7th)
Injury looked set to rob Mathis of his streak appearing in this list, but by returning in Week 10 he compiled enough snaps (608) and was so dominant (second-highest grade of all guards) that he cracks it again. Mathis again starred with his run blocking which remains as good as any in the league, earning positive grades in each of the games he appeared in.

Best Performance: Week 13, PHI @ DAL, +5.6

Key Stat: Graded positively in every game he completed.

He may not stay healthy, that's the rub... but if he does, or is healthy for most of the season, he is still a brilliant pickup.

It's a brilliant pickup because it's for 1 year so theres no risk. Signing an aging vet to a multi year deal is stupid though.

5 (and warnings don't count).

It's not like a 2-day ban is going to matter to him though. He only shows up here when he wants to spout some bullshit.
